It’s been over a decade since Pat Moyer founded Fury Fastpitch and Fury Academy. In 2006 Moyer had a vision to create an organization that competed in the top tournaments in the country and against the best teams he could find. His goals for the organization have always been clear:
To compete for National Championships at all age levels against the top competition in the country.
To become a guiding source for Fury players to earn scholarship opportunities, with the ultimate goal of finding the perfect fit for all Fury players who want to compete at the next level.
His belief was that his teams and players could achieve these goals while: Honoring the Game, Honoring Their Teammates, Honoring Their Families, And most importantly - - Honoring God
Since its founding, Fury Fastpitch has grown into one of the premier organizations in the country. Under Moyer’s guidance, Fury teams have won multiple National Championships. Fury boasts ASA National Championships at 14U and 16 Gold, a USSSA National Championship, and last year the Fury 2024 team won the PGF 10U National Championship.
During this time, Fury has been successful in seeing over 200 players go on to play at the next level, and has had success in placing players at all levels of collegiate ball.
Moyer has also taken multiple teams on various mission trips where players served those less privileged than us. He has had both Fury Softball and Fury Baseball teams serve in the Dominican Republic as well as serving in the U.S. in some of the neediest cities in America.
Moyer has been a member of the NFCA for almost a decade and during that time has been involved in several areas. Moyer served on the recruiting committee for 2 terms, and has contributed articles and research for the NFCA monthly publication on numerous occasions.
Moyer is also a co-founder of Fastpitch Foundations. This organization was created to offer safe, effective, and practical resources to assist parents and coaches in instructing their pitchers on their path to becoming elite level pitchers.
